Two ways in

Download it, or paste one line

Both get you the same app. The Terminal way skips the Finder steps and checks the download for you.

Download the archive

The Terminal way is shorter: it unpacks and sets Orbit up for you.

  1. Download the .tar.gz release and unpack it, or skip straight to the Terminal command.
  2. Run scripts/install.sh in the folder. It checks the SHA-256, makes a Python environment and starts the background service.
  3. It also builds the Mac app. Run it again any time to update; your history stays.

One line in Terminal

It downloads the latest release, checks it, installs it and opens it.
